I have photographed nature for the last 40 plus years. It has a presence that holds my attention and my imagination. I am just as fascinated by the red of a fall leaf as the red dirt of a plateau in the Southwest. The sparkle and movement of a mountain stream is every bit as beautiful as is the heavenly Aurora Borealis.

I am pleased with a photograph if it rekindles my feelings at that brief moment, as time stands still. When seeing becomes everything, and capturing the image, the ultimate goal.

Close-up photography is an adventure in seeing. When one looks very closely, shapes, lines, patterns and textures are emphasized. Colors, unseen from a distance, become intense and captivating. The closer I get to the subject, the more interesting the image.

Manipulation of images is another adventure. Here I can create my own visions and compositions. I hope you have enjoyed these, as well as my unaltered photographs.
